What is the full process to obtain a medical marijuana card?

First, see if you qualify for a medical marijuana card. Then you must be diagnosed with a debilitating or chronic condition and then submit the following requirements to the Department of Health.

  • A patient form with the complete required information.
  • A practitioner form that has been signed by your physician.
  • A required fee of $100 (or $25 if you receive Medicaid, SSI, or SSDI) to the RI General
    Treasurer of the Department of Health.
  • You may optionally designate up to two caregivers. Your caregiver(s) can be person or a compassion center
